Rapid Flow Testing At Fairlight

We have been advised by the government that we should be receiving some Rapid Flow Test Kits by 18th December 2020. Prior to this, we have been assured that we will receive some training on how to conduct these tests.

As soon as we have received this training we will allocate a member of staff to work with the Activity team to perform the testing. The proposed plan is that visiting would be booked as normal, but with the following requirements:

You will be asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to your visit to take the test.
Once tested we will ask you to wait in your car until we have your result.
If the result is negative you will be able to visit your loved one in the entertainment Lounge / Conservatory.
In line with government guidelines, you will be asked to wear PPE and remain at 2m. We are still checking the Guidelines about hand holding.
Testing and Visiting will only be available when we have an activity team and allocated “Tester” available.

Due to the volume of requests that we are anticipating, and because we don’t know how many test kits we will receive we will continue to limit visits to one per family, to begin with.
